Jews of the Americas (JOTA) Launch Event
On April 16th, we welcomed an extraordinary group of presenters and participants to our Jews of the Americas (JOTA) Launch Event at Brandeis University. Presenters included leading figures in journalism, literature, art, architecture, human rights, entrepreneurship, the museum world, communal organizations, and politics. Our participants represented a host of countries including Mexico, Argentina, Panama, Venezuela, Chile, Brazil, and Curacao, as well as the United States.
The event was an opportunity to showcase JOTA´s mission to spotlight the experience and unique contributions of Latin American Jewry, as well as its goal to promote understanding of Latin American Jews and their multiple identities. From architects to diplomats, our presenters represented a range of professionals vantage points. The roster included Julian Bonder (architect), Alexandra Ciniglio (journalist), Ambassador Milton Cohen-Henríquez (diplomat), Sandra Mayo (artist), Ariana Neumann (journalist), Dalia Pollak (museum director), Dina Siegel Vann (political advocate), and Susana Pesis Werthein (environmentalist).
